Bid preparation will be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders bound in the Project Manual. Bids will be awarded to the lowest and best acceptable bidder, except that the Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form published in the Contract Documents. Bid envelope must contain on the outside of the envelope, the Contractor’s current Certificate of Responsibility Number and the Contractor’s License Number unless a statement on the exterior says the bid enclosed is less than or does not exceed $50,000.00. Envelope containing bids must be sealed, marked and addressed with the Project Name as shown above. Bids should be filed electronically at www.lafayettemsbids.com or submitted to the Chancery Clerk at 300 N Lamar Blvd, Oxford, MS.
A Pre-Bid meeting including the prospective bidder’s opportunity to visit the site is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday
June 7, 2023 at the Lafayette County Detention Center. Attendance is not mandatory to submit a bid but lack of information that otherwise would have been available from having made a site inspection will not be reason for change requests for the successful bidder.
